Samantha Mendez

Samantha Mendez is an experienced Engineer and Program Manager at Cummins Inc, where she has worked since 2013 in Manufacturing, Quality, and Management. Driven by her passion for community development, she takes pride in her involvement in different avenues to support this endeavor. She values grit, honesty, and mindfulness, and is the happiest when she can make a positive impact in the lives of the people around her and the community.
She is the Community Involvement Leader at Cummins Inc and has also served as a board member and secretary at Helping Hands of Putnam County since 2019. She has been involved in diversity-focused organizations and non-profits since her early college education in different roles ranging from Secretary to President and Committee Leader. She is an alumnus of the IMPACT Leadership class of 2019-2020.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Texas. She holds a certification of 6 Sigma Green Belt and IATF Quality Systems Lead Auditor. She was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and currently resides in Cookeville with her family.
