
Learn about the IMPACT Leadership Program:

IMPACT Leadership is a 10-session, year-long program focused on adult personal and professional growth. Participants will gain insights in:
Civic engagement and nonprofit development
Upper Cumberland community structures and strategies
Leadership and board readiness
The curriculum includes:
Myers-Briggs and CliftonStrengths assessments
Interaction with local, state, and federal agencies (e.g., law enforcement, government, transportation)
Exploration of health, economic, and nonprofit service sectors
The environment is designed to support open-minded, meaningful dialogue.

Participants will build foundational skills in nonprofit leadership, including:
Serving on a board
Grant writing
Volunteer coordination
Budget oversight
Event planning
The program fosters nonprofit growth and community leadership capacity.

Schedule:
Runs from August to May each year
Sessions: 3rd Thursday monthly, sessions range between the hours of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Mandatory orientation
One excused absence permitted with approval
Some outside interpersonal development work is expected
Applications:
Deadline: August 1, 2025
Requirement: One letter of recommendation from a professional influence (e.g., IMPACT alum, city council member, employer, local business owner, or community leader)
Note: Active participation is essential. Excessive absenteeism may result in dismissal from the program.

Total Nonprofit Program Price: $400 per applicant.
