Cindy Schueman CCLP
IMPACT Leadership – Executive Director
Ms. Cindy Schueman is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in the arts, technology, and community leadership. She had worked in Chicago for 30 years prior to moving to Tennessee.
Ms. Schueman moved to Tennessee in 2011. As she became assimilated into the Cookeville culture, she recognized a need for building relationships and making connections for diversity and the benefits of diversity awareness. “There is a need for growth in the Upper Cumberland region to attract and retain the multinational and under-represented talents necessary for economic development and diversity representation”, according to Ms. Schueman, “helping others to experience personal success, achieve their potential, and have leadership opportunity is important to me.” Her passion for helping others led her to become actively involved in Community Leadership. With the founding board members, Cindy helped develop a transformational leadership organization with a curriculum deliberately organized for transformational thinking with adult, andragogy, learning at its core. Advancing her role as Executive Director, she became a member of the Tennessee Association of Community Leaders and served as secretary, vice-chair, and then Chair. Recently a member of the national organization Association of Leadership Professionals, Cindy became one of twelve in the country who has completed the Certified Community Leadership Practioner designation. Having accomplished this designation she will be presented with her certification in Providence, Rhode Island, at the August ALP Conference August 5-8, 2024.
Ms. Schueman’s community activities have included serving on the board of Rotary, and Toastmasters, as past-chair of the Tennessee Association of Community Leaders, Chair of a local political party, a board member of the Friends of the TTU Library and currently she serves on the Foundation Board for Motlow Community College, and as Executive Director for IMPACT Leadership.
